Laser Tag Party at Downside School

Recently the team from extreme laser tag made the trip to Downside school which is an independent school located near bath. The laser tag was set up just in from of the school to provide entertainment for international students who are studying at the school. After the students managed to get themselves into groups (not an easy feat given the language barrier!) The groups of 6 players formed a team and chose a team name for themselves- there were some very interesting team names including sausages, coconuts, an very loud Lions team and my favourite dogs of war!!!! As soon as the team had been given instructions on using the laser tag guns it was time to enter the laser maze. Games were 5 minutes long which gave each team ample time to run around the laser tag dome and shoot each other. When the time was up the teams exited the laser maze and compared team scores.

Magnanimous in victory was not a phrase i would use for the winners of each game, but it was great fun all round! At the end of the evening the staff even managed a game, and it has to be said the red team were seriously up for the last game of laser tag of the night. Starting with a team hug, talking tactics and one member of staff who better not be named was seriously up for taking down the green team. Upon entry the players took up positions in the laser maze before the game started and the battle commenced – unfortunately the green team were like lambs to the slaughter especially from the sounds echoing from inside the laser maze. I am sure the excessive to laser tag obsessive member of staff on the red team was responsible for a lot of the red team’s points!! With the last game completed it was time to take a staff photo and pack away the laser tag.
